Birth Story is the story of counterculture heroine Ina May Gaskin and her spirited friends, who taught themselves midwifery from the ground up and created a model of care for women and babies that changed a generation’s approach to childbirth. Screening preceded by a community potluck with “Birthnet” Bake Sale/Silent Auction Fundraiser. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers and a panel discussion with local midwives. Co-sponsored by Birthnet, The Pregnancy Project, Local Care Midwifery, LLC, and Heart Space Midwifery.
