White Pine Therapy is one part of a workshop series called Strands of Regeneration. Started by artists Ellie Irons and Azuré Keahi, Strands of Regeneration is an eco-socially engaged project rooted in participatory art and creative practice centered on reciprocity, building connections between humans, the land and more-than-human life. Hosted on the Sanctuary’s inner city Eco Art Trail, these workshops offer an opportunity to learn from local artists and makers whose creative practices are intertwined with care for land. Together, we will weave plant fibers and other strands into art and objects from natural materials as an act of care and reverence for earth, celebrating how this cycle of care supports our movements.

Facilitator Bio:

Raei Bridges (they/them) is the founder of Black&Wild, an organization dedicated to creating transformative experiences in nature. At the helm, Raei orchestrates mindful wilderness trips and ancestral skills campouts specifically tailored for Black, Indigenous, & People of Color in the Northeast. Their work at Black&Wild is intended to support folks of the global majority to rekindle their wild animal self, take more time to play, and find their own personal pathway to attunement with the natural world. Raei’s work de-centers heady intelligence and seeks to uplift intuitive ways of knowing and being in kinship with the natural world. Black&Wild creates space to rest, recenter, and remember our wildness.
