It’s to honor a very special friend and fellow musician Lee Shaw…she brought a light into this world that few will ever match. The beauty she left behind, coupled with her legacy that lives on through the students she inspired will last for eternity.

My name is Joe Barna and I grew up in Troy, NY. For the past 20 years I have been both composing and performing jazz professionally. 
Along the way I have created many new venues for people to bring their visions to life, found ways to present shows with NYC greats as well as the great musicians of upstate NY and somehow have always found ways to fund these performances.
This current endeavor is one that is very close to my heart. It has been thought about over many years, but because of financial limitations has never been afforded the opportunity to be realized. With your help this Kickstarter platform will give Sketches Of Influence the hope and promise to record at The Sanctuary for Independent Media, and see this dream become a reality.
