Come take part in a Be the Media workshop taught by award-winning musician Nano Stern. If you haven’t yet heard of him, Stern is a Chilean singer, instrumentalist and composer. His unique style is a fusion of jazz, rock, folk and traditional Chilean music. The workshop will explore the global state of music for social change, focusing on the nueva canción tradition in South America.
Don’t miss the opportunity to learn from this world-class musician!
Also, bring a dish to share and take part in our community potluck, starting at 5:30 PM! And be sure not to miss Nano Stern‘s full-length performance at 7 PM, featuring local heroes Taina Asili & Gaetano Vaccaro.

Our goal is to empower the public through independent media making, supplying them with the tools to tell their own stories through different mediums of media including video, radio and journalism.
