SUMMARY:HMM Community Radio Day
DESCRIPTION:Community Radio Days take place on the first Monday of every month\, bringing interested and producing correspondents together to discuss grassroots news\, story ideas\, share experiences\, and create community. Hudson Mohawk Magazine is for everyone. Drop by to see what it’s all about.  \n\n\n\nHudson Mohawk Magazine (HMM) is a volunteer-produced\, local news hour that provides sanctuary for the discussion of topics affecting our communities. Our program builds community in Troy and the surrounding Capital Region through broad grassroots participation. \n\n\n\n3:00pm: Doors open. Producers come in and work on projects in our computer lab. We offer light beverages and snacks.4:30pm: Established producers and newcomers gather around the conference table to discuss HMM and how we do what we do. Discussions often have a theme such as interview tactics\, outreach\, editing\, structuring a story\, etc. 6:00pm: See a live recording of HMM. Hear the variety of stories on our program in real time\, and see how hosts and engineers in action. 7:07pm: Join our weekly programming meeting where producers come together to program the week ahead. Meet our team\, and share your ideas for for stories.  \n\n\n\nDo you like to tell stories? Are you interested in reporting on issues you care about? Do you want to engage with your community? Do you have questions for decision makers? Are you interested in amplifying important issues of social and environmental issues? Do you like sound engineering? SUMMARY:Music Together Summer Sessions
DESCRIPTION:Deb Cavanaugh is offering Music Together & Rhythm Kids six class summer sessions at NATURE Lab/People’s Health Sanctuary (3319 6th Ave in North Troy) starting the week of July 8th! You can join for the whole session\, or drop in to just one or two! These classes are a great way for parents and kids to move and sing and play together. SUMMARY:Community Garden Work Day
DESCRIPTION:Where: 3337 6th Ave\, Troy\, NY 12180 \n\n\n\nCommunity Work & Play Days will happen on 3rd Fridays from 3:30-5:30 pm from May through October. We will have drop in activities for families and garden tasks for our adult volunteers. \n\n\n\nJuly 19 will include a special guests from the Community Rising Project\, who will offer their “Healing in our Vision” activity for children and families. They offered this painting & creativity opportunity at People’s Health Sanctuary healing day last summer\, and it was lovely\, so come out! \n\n\n\nWe are open for regular open garden hours every Friday through October. Join us in tending\, harvesting\, and caring for the plants and the land\, or just take some time to rest amongst greenery and appreciate the gifts of the garden. These open hours are family-oriented and open to all!
