SUMMARY:“i” with Filmmakers Raphael Lyon and Andres Ingoglia
DESCRIPTION:“i” (2006)\, a documentary by film makers Raphael Lyon and Andres Ingoglia\, is a mediation on the relationship between media and power as it is manifested by the world’s largest all-volunteer network of media activists – Indymedia. The feature-length film follows the first year of a small collective in Buenos Aires as it struggles amidst assassinations\, a collapsing economy\, and a whirlwind of political upheaval. A community potluck precedes the screening. \n\n\n\nPlus: In the Underground Gallery\, the exhibition of digital prints and small collages by Melissa Mykal Batalin continues (through October 11\, 2006). \n\n\n\nPresented with the Hudson Mohawk Independent Media Center.
