DESCRIPTION:We’re celebrating the re-opening of The Sanctuary for Independent Media by thanking everyone who helped out during troubling times–let’s enjoy the onset of summertime bliss together with music\, movies\, BBQ and more! It all happens at The Sanctuary for Independent Media on Friday\, May 9\, 2008. At 6pm there will be a BBQ out back and the re-consecration of the Wish Garden in front\, followed by a film screening at 7:30 and music and other performances at 8pm.  A $10 donation to help with ongoing renovations would be nice\, but this is a party for you–give what you can\, or nothing at all! \n\n\n\nThe tentative lineup includes: The premiere screening of Awake From Your Slumber (starring Ralph Nader & Patty Smith\, produced by the Hudson Mohawk Independent Media Center) and music by Fall Harbor\, Dostoevsky’s Pistols\, Scientific Maps\, and Taína Asili y La Banda Rebelde.
