SUMMARY:Be The Media! Workshop with NY Youth Shout Out: Media Live Studio Production
DESCRIPTION:The Youth Media Shout-Out Workshop is a media-making event for teenagers. Make a PSA in a day about issues important to you\, then screen it and shout out in this live-studio production workshop! Participants break into small groups to produce public service announcements (PSAs) with diverse responses to a teen-related theme. Members of each group share crew roles in a live studio production featuring PSA premieres and youth media makers’ discussion. \n\n\n\nFollowing the workshop\, a community potluck will honor the youth media makers\, followed by the NY Youth Shout Out Media Festival. This workshop and evening festival screening features youth media groups from our local area and surrounding regions\, including the following organizations: Youth Media Sanctuary with Missing Link Street Ministries and Upstate Girls\, Troy; Youth FX\, Albany; Y-MAP\, Time and Space Limited\, Hudson; Green Guerrillas\, Ithaca; Tech Valley High School\, Rensselaer; Access LPCTV\, Ludlow\, Vermont; Niskayuna High School\, Niskayuna;. Children’s Media Project\, Poughkeepsie.
