SUMMARY:SubMedia's End of Civilization Tour: "END:CIV" with Filmmaker Frank Lopez
DESCRIPTION:This culture will eat you alive…Fight back\, resist and survive! If your homeland was invaded by aliens who cut down the forests\, poisoned the water\, fouled the air and contaminated the food supply\, would you resist? If creatures from outer space made the water so poisonous you wouldn’t dream of drinking it\, would you try to stop them? If monsters released toxic chemicals that caused cancer in the people you love\, would you fight back? These aren’t idle questions. It’s happening now – except there are no aliens. The culture that’s cradled us since birth is a killer. Journalist Frank Lopez presents his new film END:CIV\, exploring our culture’s addiction to systematic violence and environmental exploitation\, and probes the resulting epidemic of poisoned landscapes and shell-shocked nations. END:CIV documents the heroism of those who confront it head-on. Rapid-fire video-game graphics\, interviews\, war footage and satire mock the excesses of the global economic system\, even as it implodes around us. \n\n\n\n\nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEC3QUtHGEs

SUMMARY:Be The Media! Workshop with Frank Lopez: It's the End of the World as We Know It- Social Media and Global Resistance
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Survivalist Media Workshop with Media Pirate\, “The Stimulator” Frank Lopez as he explains the who\, what\, why of his snarky show and learn how the f@*k he does it! This workshop is on DIY distribution\, radical aesthetics\, stealing stuff from the internet\, collaborating with video ninjas across the land\, and funding it all through small donations from fans. Participants will not only get to learn from this underground media celebrity\, they will actually co-produce a totally rad local news story with the “Stimulator” himself! The video that gets made will premiere on Sanctuary TV the following week.
