Hi, I’m Alexis. I began as a radio intern and graduated to coordinating the Hudson Mohawk Magazine and Collard City Growers. I work behind the scenes helping the Hudson Mohawk Magazine and providing support for producers, hosts, and engineers – sometimes filling in when needed. For Collard City Growers, I’m taking up the garden torch during the time of coronavirus, with the vision of producing substantial and culturally-relevant produce for the North Troy community. I grew up in Indiana and moved to New York to be a shepherdess; I hope to return to farming in the future.
My name is Simone.
Growing food, medicine, flowers, saving seeds and foraging with friends are all things I’m really interested in. I also love dancing, traveling, getting outdoors and traversing various art worlds.
I was the Sanctuary as the Collard City Growers Garden Coordinator during the fall of 2019. I was excited to join the long line of folks who have created and tended to the garden spaces over the years! I relocated outside of Troy beginning in 2020.
Our activities change during each season. If you know anyone in your network who might be able to help, please let us know!
If you have any questions about the garden and/or volunteering, please don’t hesitate to reach out to at [email protected]
