Rensselaer Newman Foundation Chapel + Cultural Center

The Rensselaer Newman Foundation Chapel + Cultural Center was established by the Board of Regents of the State of New York in 1963 as an educational corporation. The purposes were to maintain non-degree courses in theology, philosophy, and related subjects and to provide extracurricular programs for Catholic students that attend RPI. The organization also provides scholarships and other student aids, as well as the intellectual and moral life of Catholic students through religious education and activity. The Foundation’s goal is to provide nurturing experiences for RPI students, while providing a framework for students to explore their beliefs at the same time. They continue to challenge us all to commit to integrated personal, professional, and spiritual growth in service to God through service to the global human family. The Rensselaer Newman Foundation supports many aspect, one of which is close to the Sanctuary, the Chapel + Cultural Center. They participate in visual and performing arts initiatives and continue to present exciting and challenging programs.
