The head of the US Environmental Protection Agency, Scott Pruitt, has resigned amid a growing number of scandals. Mr Pruitt, the former controversial Attorney General of Oklahoma who had long promoted the fossil fuel industry, was chosen by President Trump to roll back Barack Obama’s initiatives on the environment and climate. Pruitt was the subject of several separate investigations into his spending habits and conflicts of interest. These include renting a cut-price apartment linked to oil industry lobbyists in Washington. He’s also said to have punished subordinates who complained about his behavior. Joining us is Poestenkill resident Judith Enck, the former Region 2 administrator under President Obama.
