To celebrate the end of the spring 2010 season and the hard that goes into making the Sanctuary happen, we had a pool party June 27th. Volunteers, presenters, supporters and members of our extended community came and celebrated our collective accomplishments.
This Fall will be the 5th Anniversary of the Sanctuary and as we reflect on our accomplishments, we’re also building a strong foundation for our future.
There was a space at the party for people’s reflections from the past 5 years and hopes for the next 5 years. Here’s what people had to say:
Reflections (and favorite memories):
The musicians from Mali were amazing.
The Kathy Kelly event where Iraqi Refugees and peace activists shared their stories.
Workshops where people can find their voice.
Hopes (and visions):
Strengthening connections with Pastor WIllie and the community.
Getting more people to venture to N. Troy
Connect more with local community.
Have more open labs for people to work on media.
Here are some photos of the celebration!
